This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. Typical hours are 5 pm–12 am. Note that it does not open on Monday. Charlotte is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Charlotte follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Outstanding birthday celebration—Madison is a superstar! My wife and I celebrated her birthday at Spice Charlotte in Uptown this past weekend, and it was phenomenal. It was our first time visiting, but it will definitely not be our last. The central location was incredibly easy to get to, and the upscale, stylish atmosphere set the perfect tone for a special night out. The food was completely on point—every single dish we ordered for dinner was excellent, beautifully presented, and packed with flavor. However, the absolute highlight of our evening was our server, Madison. Her vibe was perfect. She was deeply attentive without ever feeling overbearing, checking in on us with the genuine warmth of a friend. Madison took the extra time to understand our personal tastes and carefully noted my wife's food allergies. Her tailored menu recommendations are the exact reason our meal was so unforgettable. She truly ensured our evening was flawless. We can't wait to return!

We had a really enjoyable dinner at Spice Uptown. Alexis was fantastic—knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely friendly, which made the experience even better. We ordered several appetizers to share. The portions are on the smaller side, but everything was well prepared and full of flavor. The fries were perfectly crispy and well seasoned, the Brussels sprouts were packed with flavor and crispy and the chicken skewers were nicely seasoned, but small. My favorite was definitely the cauliflower bites—they were super crunchy and served with an incredible bang bang-style sauce. The cocktails were the highlight of the meal. I had the Everything Nice tequila cocktail, which was delicious and beautifully balanced, although at $21 it felt a bit overpriced. If you’re a wine drinker, the selection is pretty limited. The least expensive white wine was $55, and unfortunately it wasn’t very impressive. We went around 6:30 p.m. on a Thursday, and it wasn’t very busy, which made for a relaxed atmosphere. We went for my friend‘s birthday and she couldn’t decide on desserts so they gave her one of each. Thought that was a very nice touch! My only real pet peeves were the automatic 18% gratuity

We travelled from Florida to Charlotte for a short vacation, and since we were already tired, we looked for a restaurant near our hotel. I reserved a table for three while we were still on the road, so it was nice that we didn't have to wait when we arrived. We ordered the Ahi tuna tacos, which were really good, along with the crab fried rice. We also tried the Hamari sushi, which was okay, and the truffle fries. The ambience is very relaxing though the food was a bit pricey.

Beautifully designed space with an elegant and relaxed atmosphere. We had beautiful weather so we sat outside on a comfortable couch in the patio. Our server Jillian was very sweet, friendly, knowledgeable of the menu, and not overly attentive. We came here for some apps before our dinner reservation. The menu was small but with some great options. The shishito pepper dish is the main reason we came to Spice and unfortunately they were way over done, well passed blistered. The brussel sprouts seemed a bit over done as well but we were very hungry, we had another reservation, and the flavor was still alright that we ate both up anyway. Nothing special to note about the truffle fries, and the Hamiri roll was tasty, nice and light.

Me and my sister stopped by this evening and everything was amazing! The food and drinks were really good, and our waitress, Lola, was GREAT 🐐. She was super friendly, very helpful, and had such an outgoing personality. She truly made our experience even better. Next time I come back, I will definitely be asking for her again. Overall, our experience was a 10/10! 🗣️ Give her a RAI$E if you can lol 🤎
